Terms of Service

Welcome to becvio. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the becvio platform, website, and services (collectively, the "Service") operated by becvio ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to use the Service. When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep that information current. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@becvio.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

2. Description of Service

becvio is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform designed to help real estate investors manage, analyze, and track their rental property portfolios. The Service includes portfolio dashboards, financial calculators, AI-powered analysis, expense tracking, document storage, and related tools.

becvio is not a financial advisor, tax advisor, legal advisor, or licensed professional of any kind. The Service provides informational tools and calculations based on data you provide. All outputs, including AI-generated recommendations, health scores, tax insights, and projections, are for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional advice. You should consult qualified professionals before making financial, tax, or legal decisions.

3. Subscription Plans and Billing

becvio offers Free, Pro, and Team subscription plans. The features and limitations of each plan are described on our pricing page and may change from time to time. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge the payment method on file at the applicable subscription rate.

  • Free Trial: Paid plans may include a 14-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your payment method will be charged automatically.
  • Billing Cycle: Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. All fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated in these Terms or required by applicable law.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until then.
  • Price Changes: We may change our pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

4. Your Data

You retain full ownership of all data you input into becvio, including property details, financial information, documents, and any other content ("Your Data"). We do not claim ownership of Your Data.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display Your Data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. We will not sell Your Data to third parties. For details on how we handle your information, see our Privacy Policy.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of Your Data. You represent that you have the right to upload any documents or information you provide to the Service.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or systems connected to the Service.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to access the Service without our written consent.
  • Upload malware, viruses, or any other harmful code.
  • Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others, including through the Community Forum.
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Service to third parties without our consent.
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or entity.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms.

6. AI Features

becvio includes AI-powered features such as the AI Advisor, Growth Planner, and automated insights. These features use third-party AI models to generate responses based on your portfolio data.

  • No Guarantee of Accuracy: AI-generated content may contain errors, outdated information, or inappropriate recommendations. You should independently verify any AI output before acting on it.
  • Not Professional Advice: AI outputs do not constitute financial, legal, tax, or investment advice.
  • Data Processing: When you use AI features, relevant portfolio data may be sent to our third-party AI provider (Anthropic) for processing. This data is not stored by the AI provider beyond the duration of the request. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

7. Community Forum

If you use the Community Forum, you agree that any content you post ("User Content") is your responsibility. You grant becvio a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display User Content within the Service. We may remove User Content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable, at our sole discretion. We are not responsible for User Content posted by others.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, logos, health scoring algorithms, calculator logic, and documentation, is owned by becvio and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. "becvio" is a trademark of becvio. You may not use our trademarks without prior written consent.

These Terms do not grant you any right to use our intellectual property except as necessary to use the Service as intended.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services (such as Innago, Stripe, Supabase, or Anthropic). Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any calculations, projections, health scores, or AI outputs will be accurate or complete. Real estate investments carry inherent risk, and becvio is a tool to assist your analysis — not a substitute for professional judgment.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BECVIO AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR INVESTMENT RETURNS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total cumulative liability for any claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless becvio and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any User Content you post.

13. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms, with or without notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete Your Data within 30 days of termination, unless retention is required by law. You may request an export of Your Data prior to termination.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice in the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association, held in Cook County, Illinois. You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

16. General Provisions

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and becvio regarding the Service.
  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
  • Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights without restriction.
